Oaken Holt aims to provide residents with a secure and relaxed environment which each individual considers “home”.

Within this environment their care, well-being, comfort, dignity, individuality and privacy is of the utmost importance.

Staff are sensitive to the changing needs of residents and, where possible, residents, their families and advocates are encouraged to participate in the development of their care plans; this involvement is highly valued.

Programme's of activities are designed to encourage mental alertness, self esteem and social interaction with other residents, these will be planned to include as many diverse activities as possible, taking into account differing capabilities and interests and wishes.

All care staff will be appropriately qualified; staff training programme's are ongoing and are in line with the latest developments as laid down by current legislation.

The resident’s rights are paramount and Oaken Holt Care Home is resident led.

Oaken Holt encourages the residents to exercise their rights to the full.

In order to protect confidentiality as much as possible and in the knowledge that letters to Oaken Holt Care sent by Residents and their families were not meant for general view we do not enclose them in our statement of purpose.

However, in compliance with the National Care Standards Act, they may be seen on request.
